Inauguration of the fifth European Social Forum

Wednesday 17/9, 6-8 pm, Peoples Park

The whole world will be present at the inauguration of the European Social Forum! Welcomed by democracy mayor of Malmö and all kinds of culture and social movements that will be addressing the participants. An opening with indigenous and Romani facilitators from the Nordic Organizing Committee and cultural life in Sweden.

We will hear from witnesses from the struggle against privatisation defending public services, against oppression of minorities and equal rights for all, for peace in the Middle East, for equality between women and men and for our responsibility towards nature and every human being. Together with people singing and dancing from Greenland to the Balkans.

A celebration of the daily struggles and the joy of coming together sharing views and inspiration that will make another Europe and another world possible.
